Linkpop by Shopify is shutting down

Shopify announced that Linkpop, their link-in-bio tool, will be shut down on July 7, 2025. They shared the news on linkpop.com and also sent out an email to current users.

From July 7, users will no longer be able to:

  • Create new pages or update current ones.
  • Download the Linkpop app.
  • Log into their profile, even if they already have an account.

Still, the pages you’ve already created will stay up. Any links to external platforms will keep working, but you won’t be able to sell your Shopify products from your link in bio page anymore.

If you used Linkpop and need an alternative link in bio tool, we recommend using Taplink. It also allows you to feature your Shopify products on a link in bio page. But in addition, it offers 60+ payment providers, page analytics, and more customization options to tailor the design to your brand.

FAQ

What is Linkpop?

Linkpop is a link in bio tool created by Shopify. It allowed users to gather all important links and information on a single page and place the page link in, for example, social media bios. Linkpop’s feature was that it allowed direct integration with Shopify and enabled product sales from the link in bio page.

Why Linkpop isn’t working?

Shopify announced that Linkpop is shutting down as of July 7, 2025. Users won’t be able to create new pages, edit existing ones, log into their accounts, and the Linkpop app won’t be available to download anymore.

Why can’t I log in on Linkpop?

From July 7, 2025, Linkpop users won’t be able to access their accounts anymore. That’s because the tool will no longer operate from this time. The pages you made before will still be live, but you won’t be able to make any changes to them.

How to create a Linkpop account?

Linkpop by Shopify stopped allowing new account signups on June 11, 2025. Before then, people could sign up for it as usual. This change was made because Linkpop is going to shut down on July 7 and won’t be accessible anymore.

What can I replace Linkpop with?

A good alternative to Linkpop is Taplink. With this tool, you can not only feature your Shopify products on the page and add music and video. Taplink also allows you to add images and image carousels, forms, a countdown timer for a sale or promo ending, and plenty more. It offers over 60 payment providers and takes 0% commission for digital product sales.
